A calming christmas story

Once upon a snowy night, in a cozy little town, there was a group of children who were so excited about Christmas that they found it hard to calm their minds and bodies for a good night's sleep. But worry not, for there was a magical meditation that helped them find peace and tranquility. So, let's embark on a journey of calm together.


Lie down in your cozy bed, snuggling under your warm blanket. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in, feeling the crisp winter air fill your lungs. Now, slowly exhale, letting go of any tension in your body.
Imagine you're in a snowy forest, surrounded by tall pine trees covered in glistening snow. The air is cool and refreshing, and as you breathe in, you can smell the delightful scent of evergreen.


As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a soft, golden light above you. This light is like a warm, comforting blanket. With each breath, feel this light descending slowly, wrapping around your entire body. Picture it soothing every muscle and calming every thought.


Now, let's ground our energy. Imagine you have roots growing from the soles of your feet, reaching deep into the earth. Feel the connection with the ground, the stability it provides. Wiggle your toes and imagine the energy from the earth traveling up your roots and into your body, bringing a sense of calm and balance.


In this snowy forest, you come across a gentle reindeer named Frosty Hooves. Frosty is wise and calm, and he has a special gift to share with you. He invites you to sit with him in a circle of soft, fluffy snow.
Frosty teaches you a little exercise to calm your mind. Imagine your thoughts as snowflakes gently falling around you. As each thought comes, watch it fall and then imagine it melting away. Feel your mind becoming quieter and more peaceful with each passing thought.


Now, let's calm our bodies. With your eyes still closed, gently squeeze and release your hands. Feel the tension melting away. Wiggle your fingers and toes, releasing any last bits of excitement. Take another deep breath in and exhale slowly.


Frosty Hooves invites you to imagine a snow globe. Inside this magical globe is a winter wonderland with a tiny, cozy house. As you watch the snow gently fall, imagine your worries and excitement settling down, just like the snowflakes. Feel the stillness and peace.


As the snow globe becomes still, imagine yourself inside that cozy house. You find a soft bed covered in warm blankets. Snuggle into the bed, feeling the coziness surround you. Your mind is quiet, your body is relaxed, and you are ready for a peaceful night's sleep.


Frosty Hooves bids you goodnight, and with a heart full of calmness, you drift into a serene slumber. As you dream of sugarplum fairies and twinkling stars, know that the magic of Christmas will be there in the morning, bringing joy and delight.
