Now that spring has sprung, we are heading back towards hay fever weather.  Hay fever is caused by an allergic response to airborne pollen.  It can range in severity from mild cases which can be only mildly irritating, to really severe cases where the sufferer can become consumed by their symptoms.

When it is working correctly, our immune system is what protects our bodies from viruses, bacteria, toxins etc. that enter the body and try to create illness and imbalance (thank you immune system!).  However, when it becomes imbalanced you can become extra sensitive to pollen and other allergens such as dust or animal dander.
Hay fever symptoms can include:
  • Sneezing
  • Watery eyes
  • Itchy throat
  • Blocked or runny nose
  • Headaches
  • Pain in sinuses
  • Wheezing or difficulty breathing
  • Irritability
  • Difficulty sleeping

The propensity towards hay fever is best treated with your constitutional remedy during the winter months when it is not active.  This is to provide the body with the opportunity to repair itself.  If you try to treat hay fever constitutionally during the summer months when it is at its most active it is more difficult to do this as you are battling against the active symptoms at the same time.
Here at Solas Homeopathy hay fever is one of the most common things we see with clients.  If you would like to see how homeopathy can help you survive hay fever season just get in touch. www.solashomeopathy.com/contact.html
